Thinking of You

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a shaker style card.  I followed a Jennifer McGuire Ink tutorial to create this card.  I used the tulle for the shaker window which makes the card less bulky.  I also love the sheer look of the tulle.
The base of my card was created using some Oxide Inks.  I used the Double Stitched In and Out Cut Heart Die Set from Gina Marie Designs for the heart cut out for my shaker.  Some iridescent sequins worked perfectly inside the tulle shaker.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Scrappy Moms From the Inside Out (retired) stamp set.  The butterflies are from a Hampton Art stamp set and were also heat embossed, inked and fussy cut.  I added some Soft Pink Pearls for the trail.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Trendy Twine - Happy Birthday

Hello!  I have a treat project to share over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring Bubblegum Taffy twine.  The twist of aqua, white and pink is so fun and festive.  It was the perfect accent for a couple of birthday treats I created.
My project started with a striped popcorn container which was layered with a fun shaped tag.  I simply added a sentiment from the APB Smile stamp set.  I used the same stamp set for the sentiment on the Pink Tag-Its.  The tag was embellished with a Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot.
Next, I adhered the tag to the candy bag with some Pretty in Pink Ribbon and twine.  A small die cut flower was added to the front of the treat container. The finishing touch was several enamel dots.
All of these crafty goodies are available over at Annie's Paper Boutique!

Have a Cup of Cheer

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a "Christmas in July" themed card.  Although it's been hovering around 100 degrees in my neck of the woods, I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit on my blog.   This card was created with the Reindeer Cocoa Die Set available from Gina Marie Designs.  The cocoa mug was layered on a hexagon cut from the Stitched Hexagon Die Set.  The base of my card was cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die Set.
The snowflake came from my stash and was accented with a single enamel dot from the Nautical Ocean Colors set.  The sentiment t is from the Scrappy Moms Merry & Bright (retired) stamp set.  The finishing accent was some Sky Trendy Twine.

Loved

Hello!  Today I have a card to share showcasing a gorgeous Triburst Background 6x6 Stencil from Gina Marie Designs. This is just one of the 4 new GMD stencils.
To create my card, I gathered my supplies: DCWV Kraft card stock trimmed to 4x5.25 inches, Ranger Texture Paste, Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Power, a plastic palette knife, Posy Trendy Twine and a sentiment tag from my stash.
I used the stencil to initially dry emboss my card base by running it through my Sizzix Big Kick with an embossing mat.  The dry embossing gives the card base some dimension.  Keeping the stencil in place with some washi tape, I applied the Texture Paste to the card stock using the palette knife, spreading it evenly to avoid any clumps.  Once I was pleased with the appearance of the Texture Paste, I gently removed the stencil and sprinkled the card base with the Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder and set it aside to dry.
Once the paste was completely dry, I heat embossed the powder with my embossing gun.  The finished card base has a gorgeous shiny texture with an enamel looking finish.  I love how elegant it looks.  To finish off my card, I adhered some Posy Trendy Twine to the card base and matted it on a white, top fold card for a complimentary look.
The sentiment tag was popped up on foam dots for added dimension. A few Nautical Ocean enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch on my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have an awesome day!

Happy Birthday

Hello! Today I have a faux pinwheel card to share using the Dot Studs on Both Sides of Cutting Line Round Square from Gina Marie Designs.  I followed a tutorial on Pinterest to create the faux pinwheel using the round square dies.  A simple enamel dot provided the perfect embellishment for the center of the pinwheel.
The base my card was created with the same die which was nested to show the variety of ways the dies can be used. The sentiment is from the Plus One stamp set from The Ton.  A small bow in Twisted Teal Trendy Twine was the finishing touch on my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Go Wild

Hello friends!  I have a super fun card to share today created with the Claw Slash Die from Gina Marie Designs.  I love how this die can be used to create a fun background for a card.  I'm sharing the step by step tutorial with the process I used for my card.
I started with some basic white Neenah card stock which is 110lb weight so it works great with inks and a bit of water.  I cut the card stock to 4.25x5.5 inches.  I picked some fun Oxide Inks and a Distress Ink mini to randomly ink the white card stock.  Next I used my mini mister and splattered some water over the card stock, dabbing off the excess water and repeating the process until I was pleased with the look.
Once my card stock was dry, I used the die to randomly cut the paper.  I continued this process until it was no longer possible for any additional cuts with the die.
I decided to add the die cut sheet on black card stock instead of the white.  I used my fine line glue to adhere the die cut background to the black card base.  Next, I trimmed the card base to 4x5.5 inches so that I could add it to my white card base for a bit of contrast.  My Glue Tape provided the extra strength for all of the layers.
I die cut 2 different sized circles from the GMD Slash Stitched Circle Die Set, stamped them with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Life's a Circus (retired) stamp set and adhered them with some Glue Dots to the base of my card.  The finishing accent was a few Succulent enamel dots.

Trendy Twine - Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hello!  I have a sweet birthday card to share over on the Trendy Twine blog featuring Bubblegum Taffy twine.  For this project, I completely stepped out of my comfort zone and colored in some adorable images from the APB Foodies Planner Stamps and Need Coffee Planner Stamps sets.
The images were stamped on a die cut circle and watercolored.  I mixed in some Raspberry Cupcake and Frosty sequins.  A few tiny bling stickers and enamel dots were also sprinkled amongst the images.  The circle was outlined with the Bubblegum Taffy twine and finished off with a bow.
I layered the finished circle on a die cut postage stamp base.  Another die cut circle was added to the center with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Sweet Somethings (retired) stamp set.
Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to check out these sweet stamps, sequins and twine!

Best Day Ever

Hello! Today I have a fun card to share which was created with the Pleated Oval Die Set from Gina Marie Designs.  The inspiration for my card was the banner washi tape and the tag cut out at the center of my card which was cut from the DCWV Pocket Blossom stack.
I cut out the base layer with the Stitched Rectangles Die Set from some coordinating papers.  I used a few paper flowers as embellishments.  The enamel dots are from the Nautical Ocean Colors set.  A simple bow in Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine was the finishing accent on my card.

With This Ring...

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card as we are in the midst of the "wedding season".  The base of my card is from the DCWV Juniper Script on Cream single sheet which I have had in my stash for many years.  It gave this card the perfect romantic flair.
I used the Gina Marie Designs Lotus Blossom Lace Square Die set for the die cut pieces for my card. This die set consists of 4 dies, 2 of which are squares designed to fit inside the "Lotus Blossom" cuts. I stamped a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Wedded Bliss (retired) stamp set.  A few Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots were the perfect embellishments on my card.

Hello

Happy Monday! I got in some crafty time and played with some inks and dies.  My card base was created with the DCWV Watercolor Florals stack.  All of the die cuts are from Neenah - White Card Stock as is the card base.  The pattered paper was adhered to the card base with some Glue Tape which is my new favorite adhesive.
To create my project, I used my Distress Oxide Inks and inked up a half sheet of card stock in each of the varying colors, splattered them with water and die cut the flowers, leaves and tag.  I added a bit more ink to the edges of the die cuts for some dimension.  Each of the flower layers were curled up a bit and adhered with the Craft Glue Dots to create a dimensional flower.
I used the Ultra-Thin Glue Dots for securing the bling centers.  The tag was stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Mini Message (retired) stamp set.  A bit of Totally Lemon was the perfect accent for the mini tag.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

The background of my card was created with a mixture of distress inks.  I used some glossy accents mixed in with sequins for a sparkly affect.  The fish was also inked up and covered in Glossy Accents.  A few GMD enamel dots from the Nautical Ocean Colors were added to my card.  The finishing touch was a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Little Critters (retired) stamp set.

The twine accent was the perfect border between the bottom and top layer of my card.
A White Tag-Its provided a base for the patriotic image.  I added Chevron Trendy Page Dot and a bit more twine to the tag.  The sentiment is from the APB Smile stamp set.  Some die cut stars were layered to create an embellishment for the bottom of my card.  A few Enamel Dots were the finishing touch on my card.

Trendy Twine - Happy Father's Day

Hello!  Today the Trendy Twine design team has a special post sharing some inspirational cards for Father's Day.  Masculine cards are always a challenge for me since I love over the top embellishments on everything.  To create my card I used papers from the DCWV Nantucket stack and cut out 3 layers with the Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles Die Set.  I tucked in a die cut scalloped border under the edge of the top layer.
The top layers are an unbranded tag die which was stamped with a sentiment from the APB Smile stamp set.  I also added a Chevron Trendy Page Dot along with a bit of Classic Navy Trendy Twine.  The "Dad" title was cut with my Cricut Explore from the Beyond Birthdays cartridge.  Several die cut stars finished off my card.
This gorgeous twine, trendy page dot and stamp set are available over at Annie's Paper Boutique!  Head on over to the Trendy Twine blog to check the creations by the design team!  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Oriental Trading - Recipes for the Bride

Hello!  Today I am sharing a bridal shower display using products from Oriental Trading and the MarryMe shop.  This was a practical and fun set up for the bride-to-be who loves to cook.  The recipes can also be shared with other friends and family.
The hot pink, black and white colors theme was perfect for mixing in with some rustic elements.  The chalkboard and easel display was used for the centerpiece.  I simply used my electronic die cutter to cut out the vinyl letters for the chalkboard.
The black mini suitcase not only serves as a fun display piece but is also practical for packing up all of the recipes and recipe box for the bride to take home.  A bit of washi and a rosette added some pops of color to the suitcase.
The coordinating pails, gift bags and pink boxes are available from Oriental Trading.  Even the candy matched perfectly.  The clear candy boxes were my own addition from Annie's Paper Boutique, however, the candy jars are also available from Oriental Trading.
The Crocheted Table Runner and wood centerpieces brought some rustic charm to the table.  The Alphabet Tiles added another fun element.  The tiles were adhered to the table with some Glue Dots so they would hold in their position.
The banner was embellished with a few hand made rosettes.  The rosettes were also secured with some Glue Dots.
I hoped you enjoyed checking out my projects. These items are available in the Scrapbooking & Paper Crafting Store, the Craft Supplies Store, the Candy Store , the Birthday Party Supplies and from the Marry Me Store all from Oriental Trading. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
This review is based strictly on my opinion.  I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading to provide my honest review.  No other type of compensation was received.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Gratitude

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card created with the gorgeous Lotus Blossom Lace Square Die Set from Gina Marie Designs.  This die set comes with 4 dies which makes it so versatile to either create a base with a solid center or a frame for a card.  There are also 2 additional dies in this set in a smaller size.
For my card, I cut out the frame so I could add in a pop of color with the basic square die which comes with the set.  I used my paper cutter to add the top layer for the stamped butterfly and sentiment.  A bit of Distress Ink was used to shade the stamped layer of my card.  The butterfly and sentiment are from the Fiskars Many Thanks stamp set that my friend Theresa sent me. Thank you so much Theresa, I love this stamp set.
I used my new Glue Dots Gluetape to secure everything in place. Next I added a single Glue Dot behind the paper flower which was adhered to the corner of my card.  The finishing touch was some Enamel Dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!
